A Poem…
“God Spoke To Me.”
Glen said God spoke
to him.
Osama said God spoke
to him.
Michelle said God spoke
to her.
God did speak, I heard Her,
too.
She said,
“Shut the fuck up!”
Glen thought He was talking to
Socialists.
Osama thought He was talking to
Westerners.
Michele thought He was talking to
Foreigners.
I thought She was talking to
them.
But God was talking to us all.
God spoke loudly. God spoke slowly. He spoke.
She said,
“Quit killing my Sikhs,
my Atheists,
my Jews,
my Muslims,
my Christians,
my Hindus
my Buddhists,
my Jains,
my Confucians,
my children!”
And we heard.
So we all looked at each other and said,
“See, I told you.”
